Martin Watson, Chief Executive Officer
Martin Watson is CEO of SeeChange Health, a California-based insurance company providing fully insured value-based benefit plans to employers of 2-to-200 employees or more.
With a passion for changing the health care industry for the better, Martin has successfully built and sold start-up organizations (acquired by Fortune 500 companies) prior to launching SeeChange Health.
His extensive industry experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Strategy for United Healthcare’s Product Division, in Edina, Minnesota, where he was responsible for developing and implementing new marketplace product strategies and the management. He also served as Vice President of E-Business for Aetna International, out of Hartford, Connecticut. Here he oversaw the development and implementation of Aetna International’s Internet initiatives across all countries and business lines.
As a health insurance industry veteran, Martin is an experienced speaker on this topic and is frequently interviewed by national press on the impact of value-based insurance benefits on the health care delivery system.
Martin earned his B.A. at Beloit College in Beloit, WI. Martin is a member of the ABL – Adaptive Business Leaders Organization.
Janice L. Rahm, President, SeeChange Health Solutions
Janice Rahm is President of SeeChange Health Solutions, a San Francisco, California-based company which provides value-based benefit plans, administrative services and supporting technologies to employers, insurers, and third party administrators.
Janice’s expertise covers twenty years in the health care/technology arena where she held business development, operations, product development, and marketing leadership positions for innovative health care companies. With two decades as a team leader in health care and health care technology, Janice continues to demonstrate her ability to successfully develop products, services, and software designed to promote healthy behavior and reduce health care costs.
Janice has been one of the industry’s innovation leaders having been part of the original Definity Health foundational team and most recently served as SVP of Product and Service Innovation for Prodigy Health Group where she focused on creating consumer-friendly products designed to promote wellness and increase member engagement. She was also a founding partner of the Sequoi Group, a consultancy specializing in Consumer-Directed health care, and more broadly, the emerging role of consumers in health care.
Janice holds a BA degree in Marketing/Communication from Augsburg College, Minnesota and is a member of the International Association of Business Leaders.
Alan Katz Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Alan Katz leads the sales and marketing efforts of SeeChange Health Insurance, a new carrier with a different perspective that offers groups innovative value-based benefit plans. Alan has led sales teams to exceptional results for enterprises ranging from start-ups to publicly traded corporations. As a senior vice president for sales at WellPoint his creative approach to sales and sales technology was instrumental in the company being named one of “America’s Top 25 Sales Forces” by Sales & Marketing Management magazine.
Alan is also a highly respected speaker and writer on issues ranging from sales and marketing to strategic planning to health care reform. Alan is the author of Trailblazed: Proven Paths to Sales Success revealing the perspectives, processes, and procedures professional producers use to achieve substantial sales growth. Prior to joining SeeChange Health full-time, his consulting firm, the Alan Katz Group, specialized in providing sales development and business strategy support to enterprises both large and small.
A past President of both the California and the National Associations of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Alan has testified on health care reform on behalf of Health Underwriters before Congressional and state legislative committees. He was named the state association’s Member of the Year in 2000 and 2007 and received NAHU’s highest honor, the Harold R. Gordon Memorial Award as Health Insurance Person of the Year, in 2003.

Don Powers, Finance and Operations
Don Powers is accountable for the core operations functions as well as all aspects of the finance, planning, treasury and close processes for SeeChange Health. Don is also the liason for regulatory agencies regarding financial oversight matters. With over twenty years experience in the health care insurance field, including experience running production areas (claims, billing, enrollment, finance and IS functions), Don brings demonstrated ability in executive leadership, financial analysis, operations and accounting.
Daniel Boivin, Legal & Human Resources
Daniel Boivin is the Chief Legal Officer of SeeChange Health responsible for legal, regulatory, network, and human resource functions. Dan's leadership includes corporate culture, compensation, and office management. Previously, Dan was an attorney and partner for 26 years with a major Minneapolis law firm. He is the former chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Civil Litigation Council. Dan’s community involvement includes being appointed by the Governor as Chairman of the Metropolitan Airports Commission overseeing the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, one of the most valuable economic generator between Chicago and Seattle. Dan has been involved with the pro bono representation of disadvantaged persons, acting as a volunteer judge for the Minnesota State High School Mock Trial Tournament, participation in the Minnesota Legislative Economic Loss Doctrine Task Force, and the Minneapolis Charter Commission.
